convenient & reliable

A few free mezedes delivered during the main course of mixed grill with extra chicken on the bone, and a great fresh village salad for €14/pp. Really good, efficient friendly service. Due to convenience, we have been again and had similar items, equally satisfied second attempt.

a great night out but a bit squashed

this is a great place to eat - plenty of locals always a good sign of value for money and quality of the food. the place is ALWAYS busy so you'll need to book it can get VERY noisy also.
Michael is a freindly host who will cater to your every whim.
It can get a bit rushed so ask for 'siga siga' slowly slowly and you'll enjoy.
The village salad is a meal in itself with radishes the size of cricket balls and spring onions resembling leeks! all this is included in the price or 'on the shop'so come hungry. the menu whilst there is not a huge choice is sufficient and more than enough. the stifado is delicious and the grilled chicken is wonderful. You will not be disappointed or leave hungry!!

Lucky me! Just up the road from my house

I have lived in Cyprus for almost 7 years and have not had a better quality or priced meal, accompanied by excellent service and friendly staff. My wife and i moved into Konia on 1st of march and tried out the place, we were amazed. We worked quite late, one day last week and went up to the tavern for a meal. Lo and behold, the food annd service was the same.Although on our first visit, there were only about 15-20 people there, this time it was packed, with locals and about 7 tourists. The staff know just how long to leave you, before bringing out more of their delicious food, so we really enjoyed the meals. Keep up the good work!!!
PS. The peppers are out of this world

A TRUE TASTE of CYPRUS

A VERY traditional Taverna. When our party arrived I wondered why we had been asked to book as there were only 3 or 4 tables taken. However, within an hour the place was packed full. Great atmosphere and nearly all locals (always a good sign). We spent about 3 hours wading our way through a meze (which everyone was having in the place). What was nice, was the advice of how many mezes to order taking in to account the number of adults/children in our party. We ordered 8 for our party of 11 (7 adults & 4 kids) and even this proved way too much food. So bear this in mind. The drinks bill was embarissingly cheap as was the whole evening. Everyone was eating the meze and it meant it was easy for the cook to produce well cooked BBQ style food and homemade haloumi, dolmades, stifado etc, which just kept on coming. Very good for a true taste of Cyprus away from the tourist traps.

A good village taverna

We ate here with friends who used to live in Konia, amazingly for the first time, in late November. I had always heard that it was a good taverna and it is. We went for the Mezze and the amount of food was awesome, there is no way you could eat it all. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the restaurant was packed (it was on a Saturday evening though). I would have no hesitation in recommending it and will return again.
