Definitely worth a visit

I do not know much about Indian food, but visiting family love it, so following other good reviews we tried the Sunday buffet. 4 adults 2 teenagers and a young child.
The dining area was lovely, staff were friendly and attentive but not pushy, the food was excellent in both taste and variety (judged by the connoisseurs among us)and the nice surprise was that the bill was extremely reasonable.
Everyone had a great evening and would definitely return.

Excellent Curry

Last time we ate here it was called Chillington's. In fact they told us that it is now '2 restaurants in 1' The Raj II & Chillington's - you can choose from either a very extensive Indian or a smaller International menu. I have to say the new Chillington's menu is nowhere near as 'up market' as the old one (or as expensive) but still looked good. We ordered Indian however which was excellent. The Chicken Puri and the Aloo Tikka starters were terrific as were the Prawn Madras and the Chicken Dansak main courses. Nothing else to add - we will certainly eat here again.

No cowboys here

Tried Raj 2 last night after hearing many good comments about the place. We were not dissapointed. Food and service was excellent, starters were good sized,we both chose Balti dishes for main, not quite the standard of Stratford Rd Sparkbrook Birmingham but very close. prices seemed very reasonable, the couple next to us had the Euro 9.50 set menu which looked to be teriffic value. We will certainly go there again, but hopefully not on a Greek dancing night.

Beat Curry in Paphos

Having been an avid fan of Raj 1 I went with trepidation but was not dissapointed. Even with the more up market surroundings, it still had a lovely feel to it which is down to the staff there. The food continues to be excellent & coming from the North of England where we know our curries this is the best Madras I have had in Cyprus in the 5 years I have been here. Well done Raj II.

Great Indian

Having read about this place numerous times we finally decided to try it last night. Wow, are we glad we did. We tried the 9.95 euro menu, not expecting alot for that price to be honest, but we were very pleasantly surprised.
For starters we had Vegetable Flury & Onion Bhajis, both well cooked and very tasty. Main course were Chicken Tikka Masala & Chicken madras. Both packed full of breast meat chicken, and very very well cooked and spiced. The price included either rice or bread, we had rice, and could have shared one plate there was so much.
I spoke to co owner Shamin Ahmed, a lovely man, very passionate about his food and very knowledgeable about his trade. He was very keen to ensure that everything was okay with our meal and stopped at table to have a good chat.
On Sunday they are having an Indian band there and offering lunch at 11.95 euros per person. I would highly recommend this place and will be going back very soon. Do mention Paphos Eating site as I did at end of meal as he is keen to create and nurture a good reputation
