Very good Pub Grub !

Went here having read some other reviewer comments prior to our regular trip to Cyprus this year. I have two growing (hungry) boys and all of us could only manage 2 of the 3 course set menu (10.95 Euro for 2 course 13.95 Euro for 3 !). The cheesey garlic bread starter was a massive hit with us all. The eldest boy had ribs, the youngest gammon steaks & eggs and me & my wife had the pork steaks (mine with a lovely peppercorn sauce). The portions are huge and no matter what the chips are they're nice. Only one could manage a dessert. The treacle sponge and cream, which my youngest fell in love with. The only dissapointment was that we wanted to go back again, but it was closed (perhaps for a weeks holiday?) so we couldn't try it again. Never mind there's always next year. LOL. They also do a fantastic fish and chip night on Friday's. 25 Euro per couple including wine!!

Paphos People Christmas Meal for 65 (people)

'Paphos People' Web site organised (for second year) a function & Xmas meal here and it was enjoyed by everybody last Saturday night. Thanks to all concerned and especially the 'Chefs'. My Turkey was just right and my wife had the Lemon sole which she said was the best she had tasted!!!

Good pub grub!!!!

I've been here several times and I must say it is quite a nice pub. The food is good as is the service.

They have a large selection of mains and desserts. The chicken and ham pie it very good. And while the chips may be frozen, they are also good.

I would definitely go here again.

Good Pub Grub - Seconded !

This is literally my local and i visit once a month if that. Its a great little place, well turned out & furnished (eg solid wooden chairs not plastic garden seats and tables) and decent food. I only tend to have lunchtime 'bar' snacks such as burgers and sandwiches rather than the bigger dishes offered on either the standard menu or the regularly changing specials board. Yesterday was a chicken & bacon baguette, freshly cooked bacon, juicy chicken breast slices and fresh mixed cold veg. by the side as well as 'real' chips - nothing mind blowingly amazing but exactly what was expected. Other times i have thoroughly enjoyed the village burger which was certainly of the home made variety. €6.95 for the food perhaps isn't bad value but the portion was sufficient. Hardly anyone in so service was great.

awful- this place keeps aunt bessies products in b

As it was sunday and they had far too many adventurous things on the board for any pub to be able to produce to any decent standard, we went for the roast beef. My starter was allegedly pate but it had the texture, and probably taste, although I am surmising here, of my dog's meat flavoured toothpaste. My companion's starter was prawn cocktail. most of the prawns were still frozen and all were either woolly or tough.

The roast potatoes were the aunt bessies (or maybe Iceland) and we could not cut through the thick slices of meat. The only half decent thing was the gravy, which from the "Maggi" gravy container given to me to take the leftovers away for the dog, confirmed was NOT homemade.

The vegetables were barely cooked- you couldn't even cut into the cauli or broccolli. With this kind of poor quality, one would at least expect a budget price, but there is no way they can justify their prices.

Vastly disappointing- we only ended up there as Tweedys next door was shut, but we will never be going back I can assure!!!
