Never Again

Visited twice.

The first time most of the food was cold and was served on cold plates.

At the end of the meal the manager asked for out comments, and we explained the above.

Went there again 2 weeks later, as the staff recognised us we were expecting I comments to be taken onboard.

Once again cold food served on cold plates.

The base ingredients seem very good qualuty, the problem is they dont know how to served hot food.

The is restaurant is sited in a very challenging area for a restaurant business with an all inclusice hotel opposite and no much passing trade.

If it carries on like this I think it will close at the end of the season.

Certainly wouldn't want to pay full price!.

I had a Daily Deals voucher for this restaurant that took the sting out of the evening.
Our starters were:
Beef Carpaccio, which was beautifully presented but too cold to have any taste and Calamari, which was like eating old boots.
For mains we had:
Rib eye steak - I'm not sure what cut of meat it was but it was thin and dry and instead of an eye of fat it had a vein of gristle. The Sea Bream (which we was left sitting on the servery when the rest of us had been brought our meals) was OK as were the Beef Stroganoff & Fillet Steak. Each meal was accompanied by half a jacket potato - sliced, a piece of broccoli, a cauliflower floret and two slices of carrot.
The desserts fared better. The Lava cake and vanilla ice cream was delicious. The Tiramisu and Creme Brulee good, the ice cream was ... ice cream.
With two carafes of village wine, bottle of water and four liqueur coffees the bill came to €153 (€95 with our 40% off voucher).
The restaurant is nicely decorated but is alongside a fairly busy road and so there was road noise added to the general hubbub and background music. From their seats, our friends had a perfect view of the inside of the supermarket next door. A screen of some sort would improve this view.
I am willing to give this restaurant a second chance since the voucher is valid for the whole month. Without the voucher I would not be going back.
