A gem at Coral bay

Jasmina and her staff try very hard, the place looks fantastic and the food and drinks are good. ITs good for a small or large group.

Gem of a place

Great value grilled food - especially the platters. Friendly staff. Large place so when not busy lacks atmosphere but don't let that put you off

Service, food, atmosphere, all are not good, they are excellent

Sometimes, only sometimes, you find a gem that no-one knows about.
Well, we have done it.
The setting may not sound too great, next to the main Paphos / Coral Bay Road, but actually it is just off the main road, before you get to Coral Bay, set back in the palm trees.
We went in a couple of days to 'scope it out' and were impressed, it looked good.
Went in today with friends and has a leisurely drink and then the 'Meat for meat' meal for 4, at €49 - my God, there was loads of well cooked, fresh food. A carafe of wine was only €8.
It is a meat eaters feast. We all ate our fill and then asked for a 'doggie bag', my wife was so impressed that we weighed the excess when we got home and there was 600 grms of pure meat - we are sorted out for meals for a week. Our friends agreed that the food was super, and both Yasmin and Andrew (maybe anglicised) were great hosts, explained the food well and really seemed to care about customer service. there are no hidden extra
This place deserves to do well, if you miss it, then it is your loss.

what a Find

Saw the restaurant from the main road so thought we would give it a try - all 13 of us! We arrived without having made a reservation. Being such a large group we had previously experienced poor service in other more establishments, However not this one. The menu is quite extensive and in parts nice and traditional I highly recommend the "Grill Platters" Mrs & I chose the Akamas sharing platter which contained Rib Eye Steak, Chicken, Pork Chops & a full Rack of Ribs with good quality chips also.Excellant value at 22 euros. Service was good and speedy though not rushed we needed to leave by 21:00 due to another appointment. Nice touch was to see the chef come out and ask if everything was ok - Yes it was and we will definately be returning.

Not your regular food shed

The previous establishment (Sense Cafe) in this location had been there for so long i don't remember anything else, so to see it closed and 're-branded' a month or two back was a bit of a surprise. However, re-opening as a grill orientated venue piqued my interest, so we swung by early last night to check it out. Whetting the appetite with pitta & dips (houmous and a tasty tyrokafteri - €4), my main of medium cooked rib-eye (€15) was a touch well done but still melted away and the Jack Daniels sauce complemented it nicely. I also (greedily!) ate a third of my sons grilled chicken ciabatta sandwich (€6) where the chilli sauce really made it tick, these mains were all served with chips (from a packet?) and the sandwich had a selection of fresh local salad items. We then shared a 'special' pancake (€5) between three of us which whilst very good probably tipped the scale from 'satisfied' to 'ouch'. :)

We started out with some long drinks each (€3-4 ea) which were received with mixed response whilst we added a small beer (€1.50) and a lemonade (€2) to help wash the food down, finishing off with a filter coffee (€2.80). We were the 2nd or 3rd table of the evening so promptly and politely seated, and left to peruse the menu before suitable time passed to order drinks, then prompted shortly after for food order. Very friendly Greek+English speaking staff kept things easy going and we were eating within half hour of arriving suggesting to me food was cooked fresh.

Venue is big, plenty of space between tables, clean & contemporary styling (same as with Sense beforehand) but not without a hint or two towards traditional taverna about it, if you like Greek music then this place ticks another box for you. So all in was around €55 for 2 adults and a child to eat & drink very well, not cheap by any means but this is a great joint with great food. We did notice 'platter' (think Ocean Basket with meat) for 2 or 4 people which looked liked pretty good value, compared to our more costly selections.

Overall a good impression was made and would not hesitate to return here in future for an evening of eating well.
