Consider if you have the patience of a Saint

Convenient for Coral Bay Hotel, but the dreadful service did overshadow what could have been a pleasant meal.

Rubbery food with poor customer service - bad finish to the evening

Decided to get dinner here one evening but left wishing we hadn't bothered. The service was s**t, after waiting for almost half an hour for a bottle of water for my son (1.5 years old) I went to the supermarket and bought a bottle, the one we ordered didn't arrive at all. Our meals eventually arrived after almost an hour and half, and the lasagne was actually rubbery and most definitely the worst lasagne I have ever tasted. Because dinner took so long to serve my son got fed-up of sitting in his high-chair and we had to go back to the supermarket to get toys to entertain him. It wasn't just us having trouble several tables were complaining of cold chewy food and poor customer service. The only excuses we were given was that a table of 20 had arrived, so despite us being there well before this grand arrival our orders took a back seat while the 20 were served. Despite being unable to handle the customers they had already the waiters were still calling people in from the street, they were seating them but then not serving them, one table had their drinks and then waited so long to order their meals that they got up and left without even paying for the drinks, one table of 2 finished 2 large bottles of water before their complementary bread basket arrived and then there was no sign of their food arriving. So to round things off s**t food s**t service, if your thinking of going there make sure there arent too many people there already and pray that no large groups show while you are there.

An Italian Disaster

We had a voucher for this restaurant so booked a table.

The location is very good - opposite the Coral Beach Hotel.

We had their home made soups for starters which wer both OK. My wife chose Monkfish which was very chewey/grissley. I had the rib eye steak which was ok but fairly small for the price ! We had cream brule for desert which was quite good and I had coffee. We were given orange liquers on the house.

Their service leaves a lot to be desired - my wife pointed out to the waiter that her knive was dirty - he said 'we won't charge you for that' he may have been joking but no apology was offered. When my wife told him that the Monkfish was poor and that the jacket potatoes were cold he did'nt know what to say !!!

Also at the end of the evening one of the owners/managers came into the restaurant with a lit cigarette - when I pointed this out to him he 'I'm not smoking it' !!!!

They had a two piece band which were very good.

I won't be rushing back - the bill was over 70 euros and although I had a 20 euro discount it was still poor.

Too expensive

I wrote the only other review on this restaurant over 12 months. Unfortunately, the food here has gone downhill in the last 12 months, while the costs have gone up. We all (4 of us) found our meals bland, significantly lacking in any type of flavour. I don't see how an Arrabiata sauce can be plain but they managed it.

On arrival my son asked for a large lemonade as he was thirsty. This was about 2/3 of a pint. We were charged almost 6 Euros! Would have been cheaper to buy him a large beer!!

Will not visit here again on any future visits.

Early days yet, but it looks promising...

New restaurant opened for about 3 months now. Visited twice on our recent holiday. First visit food was superb, second time not as good, although this could be down to choices made. Great with children, and one of the best kids menus I've seen!! Try the Pizza Piccante - very tasty but the chillies will blow your head off! Not the cheapest, but better value (and better food, and service) than the italian at the other end of Coral Bay.
