Huge Porrtions!

We had a very nice meal here. The portions were enormous and if we had known when we began selecting our food we probaly would have shared a starter. The starters were as big as a main meal for some people. All the food was freshly cooked and was of good quality. There is a good selection of local dishes with a 'fine dining' feel. It's not cheap but is in a lovely position on the harbourside. wew ill probaly go back in the future but with either bigger appetites or fewer courses!

Worst food experience in paphos ever...

This place has the most prime location in Kato paphos, directly on the sea and within the walking paths of kato paphos.
We went there for lunch on a thursday afternoon, the place was not busy so they allowed us to enter with our little dog (suprising for Cyprus to allow dogs to restaurants).
The view is breathtaking from this place if you like the sea breeze and the sound of the tides hitting on rocks on the coast and the smell of sea weed.
We all ordered so called fresh fish and salad for three with drinks.
The food and the service were so horrible that we had to go walking all afternoon to digest it and cure our upset stomachs. They did not even manage to get the tomato juice right. It tasted horrible and very warm.
The place is also quite pricey for the cheap frozen food they offer.
For the prices they offer you can eat at the best and most luxurious fish tavern in paphos in the 5 star coral bay hotel which is also on the sea and without the seaweed stink.
I would not reccomend this place to anyone for food.

Not a patch on my mum's cooking !

This is the second time I have been to this restaurant. The first time was with my husband a few years ago and I remembered it to be more of a fine dining establishment. Most recently, I went there with my husband and his parents who were visiting from Australia, and left a little disappointed. We chose the restaurant because of the views and we enjoyed our starters looking out at the sunset. The traditional greek starter of bread, dips, olives, salad etc went down well and we were therefore expecting more of the mains. However, the afelia contained unnecessary fat and gristle and the sieftalia were undercooked. The fries were ok but the frozen veg was not what you'd expect from a place where fresh produce should be easy to come by. Coming from a cypriot family, it was difficult for me not to compare the food to my mum's cooking, which is by far the best I've ever tasted !

The decor of the restaurant is quite 'cold' and clinical but the decking and windows give it a boat-like feel which sits nicely alongside the water. I would recommend this to people who want to enjoy the views and sunshine while sharing a selection of starters but would personally give the mains a miss next time.

Thumbs down even with a beautiful sunset..

Lovely location by the water's edge and a great view of the sunset if you want an earlier evening meal. There were four of us and no-one else having a meal in the restaurant at the time so i would have expected better service. We shared starters of bread, dips, greek salad, fried calamari and olives, which were all delicious. As we were quite full we shared two mains between us. I ordered the sieftalia, which were slightly undercooked so were a little fatty/stringy on the outside. My step-mum ordered the afelia on my recommendation but this was also a bit undercooked and fatty. The meat on both dishes was accompanied by fries and frozen veg, which was a bit disappointing. For desert, we ordered two sweet crepes between the four of us which I thought were fairly average.

At EUR 100, the meal wasn't particularly cheap considering we shared two courses, but I have had to select "best for..budget" above for lack of any other suitable description.

Overall, lovely place for the views and a light snack - we probably should have stopped after the starters - but disappointing mains, especially if you are used to good home-cooked cypriot food.
