Had wonderful meze here a few days ago,Full of flavour,more than enough food and homemade chips!well cooked, Impeccable service and great wine.Cant fault it in any way.Do book in advance as it is often fully booked especially weekends etc.Deserves to be no1 in Paphos.

My partner and I ate here last week and only went because of the reviews on here. I am so glad we did. We have driven past this square so many times and noticed the bars but not the taverna.
We sat under the trees on the other side of the road which I didn't mind at all. I booked a table as advised and wondered why I had bothered as we were virtually the first people there but it soon filled up so I'm glad we did.
I had the moussaka and my partner had the stifado. They were not as large a portion as I would have liked but they were very good. They both came with chips and I had wished that we had had some vegetables with them.
The price was good - about €8-11 for a main dish. We were brought fresh fruit as a dessert on the house which was nice too. I would definitely go back.

Surprisingly maybe but for years I have struggled to find a 'true' cypriot restaurant, this one was recommended to us by our bank manager - he could have afforded to take us as well as recommend it !

Charming, I am not going to say 'typical' cypriot restaurant, because it IS a cypriot restaurant, 100% authentic, friendly welcoming, serving mainly Cypriots, I see 'typical' as those places that have to try to be something they aspire to be.

So I love stiffado, and for saying it is one of the islands' trademark dishes, am amazed how many times 'typical' Cypriot restaurants cannot produce it well. Stiffado at Fettas is the best I have tasted in 10 years, true Cypriot love and flavours served in a bowl with melt in the mouth beef.

We will be back for the meze, I feel fortunate to have had this place recommended to me and look forward to returning soon. We ate inside on a weekday in May and it was relativly quiet, but the street dining looked nice to me and would especially later in the season.

We have a home in Cyprus so come over 3 or 4 times a year for a few weeks at a time with our two kids and sometimes extended family. We eat out every day (sometimes twice) so have got to know some of the best and worst over the past few years.

When in Cyprus we always make a pilgramage to Fettas, we were surprised that it was not even listed on this site last year. There are two good reasons for this.
1/ Although it is in the center of uper Paphos it is not easy to chance upon.
2/ The majority of its customers are Cypriots, even in peak holiday season.

Fettas is certainly worth seeking out, its meze dishes are both fresh and well cooked with many being unique.

As a slight minus point, we visited last week to find that the Restaurant had expanded out of its building spilling some 50 yards across the road and onto a central reservation. Seeing as we went on Friday to take in the live Cypriot music we were a little dissapointed as we could not hear or see it, although the food and service were still superb.

A big party of us ate there last year and the Meze was very good, with the setting perfect. We ate at a long table across the road in the park like green area. As I recall, it wasn't expensive either. A good choice, up in the main town.
