My first visit to Ocean Basket with a group of six friends and we all loved the choice of sea food and the service was very attentive without being intrusive. We particularly liked the way that the food was presented cooked in its own pan and the portions were definately on the large side! Everyone had something different and not a bad word from anyone. Rather than risk an unknown line fish on the daily fish and chips offer (which I feel is very good value at Euro 5.95) i opted to have the cod and Calamari and the cod was beautiful and very delicate and the calamari was very good too! We would definately visit again!

We continue to visit especially with friends and even had a takeaway once when passing as it was getting late to cook at home.

The Sushi on offer is excellent, wines are well priced, Tall Horse white ideal for me.

Had visitors and we went there last week and they are still raving about it, even asking to go again when they come back next time.

Had the largest platter which more than satisfied all 4, and the cost overall was very good value for what we had.

Have been here loads of times.
Pleased to report it is as good as normal.
Platter for two to share (plus extra scrummy garlic sauce) a bottle of Tall Horse Savignon Blanc, bottle of water - all for €37!
We couldn't eat it all, so brought the rest home - then pigged out on it!
Beware though, when they say the green sauce is hot, they really mean it.

As a regular winter visitor to the Ocean Basket I can only admit to being astonished at a review by an English (?) Aristocrat who was obviously out of his depth after a lifetime of dining in 3* Michelin restaurants and was disappointed that there was no Beluga Caviar and Vintage Champagne on the menu and that the staff were not dressed in black velvet and wearing silver buckle shoes! I found the restaurant warm and clean; the staff welcoming, friendly and efficient; the food perfect and the bill tiny - in comparison with the many other places around Paphos that I have used. The fact that OB is busy throughout the winter is testament to the fact that they are satisfying the
taastebuds of many, many locals. Me? I'll be there often !

Great seafood, great price and great fun. Eat as a family, one big platter, pick up forks and go for it!! Loved it. Waiter chose the wine and it was perfect. So much so that we had a second bottle that was too much for us so the waiter replaced the cork and gave it to us on leaving without being asked. It was packed both inside and out but did not have to wait long before we were seated inside. My son and i both being smokers went outside for a cigarette and our waiter even came to find us to tell us that the food was on the table. When we had finished our meal we were offered a table outside so we could continue our wine and enjoy a post meal cigatette, even going to the trouble of clearing the table and replacing the tablecloth. As busy as they were the staff made time to talk to us and ensure that all was ok. As a local I shall use this restaurant far more in the future and will be recommending it to tourist that want a good honest meal at a good honest price with added bonus of pleasant staff.
