Brilliant Pizza

Like another reviewer we have been meaning to try La Sadegna for a while but it was either closed when we drove by or heaving! We've now realised tghey are closed on Tuesdays. We both had a 'small' pizza and both are vast, next time we will probably share a 'medium' especially as we ordered garlic bread (delicious) which effectively another 'small pizza'. Everything cooked to order in a proper pizza oven. The other mains all looked good as well so well worth a try.

Outstanding Pizza

We have driven past this restaurant numerous times and it always seemed to be popular so it was time to give it a try. Frankly I never thought I'd be writing about how good a pizza was but I have to say that I've never eaten them as good as this outside Italy - the wood burning oven makes all the difference. The numerous choices come in two sizes, small & medium, but should really be listed as 'large' and 'huge'. Trust me, you've got to be pretty hungry to eat the 'medium' on your own! They are not cheap at about Euros 12 & 17 respectively but are worth every penny. We had the Quattro Formagi and the Piccante (both 'small') and they were both outstanding. The cheese topping on the former had a fantastic flavour (especially the blue cheese on it) and the chilli's in the latter left a very pleasant tingle on the tongue. The authentic base is excellent. They also serve starters, salads and numerous pasta dishes but not, as far as we could see, desserts - none on the menu and none offered but we were too full anyway. The spaghetti dishes we saw looked enormous as well and we may well try them next time!Including a glass of wine, a Keo and a bottle of water the bill was a very reasonable Euros 31 for such an enjoyable meal.As far as I can tell they also do Take Aways but they didn't have any relevant menus to hand. Service was speedy & friendy.I cannot imagine us ever eating pizza in & around Paphos from a different restaurant again - this is the best we've had.

Fantastic find!

4 of us ate here and we all had different pizzas. We opted for the medium pizzas for €11 each and they were so huge that my mother in law and I could only finish half of ours. The waitress happily put the leftovers into a takeaway box and we had it for lunch the next day.
The pizzas are cooked in a real wood burning pizza oven and taste very authentic-thin crispy base with plenty of toppings.
The price is a little higher than what I was expecting when we first arrived but after tasting the pizzas I would happily pay that again.
The drinks prices were not cheap either but that didn't put us off planning our next visit.

Best Point ? pizzas!
Worst Point ? finding it!

Proper pizza

A very long list of pizza on the menu. And, as befitting a place run by a Sardinian, none of them would be out of place on a menu in Italy. So, no chicken tikka or pineapple here. Good sign , we thought.

And what you get is a very large thin and crisply baked base, generously topped with Mediterranean flavours. In our case, a Napolitano with anchovies and capers and a a Quattro Stagione - artichokes, olives, mushrooms and ham. If you go, then go with an appetite.

Pizzas are priced at around €11. There`s also some pasta dishes and a few starters. Oddly, no desserts - not that we could have managed one.

Without a doubt the best Italian restaurant in Pap

I have lived in Paphos for 20 years and ever since finding Gino's in its little nook, have been going as often as possible. It's a great place for a large reunion of friends or family or even taking the possible the girlfriend on a date. Tasting pizza and pasta from a wood fired oven truly is a joy.

You can be huddled inside during winter warming by the traditional wood fire oven, or outside enjoying the breeze during the height of summer. Either way it will be a great experience.

Italian television playing by the bar as you wait for your take away is a wonderful touch!

It was reassuring to see that when I traveled to Italy I found that they make pizza in exactly the same way. On my trips though, I did develop a taste for Calzones - but alas Gino does not do them.

Another great joy of going to Gino's is when you leave - the bill never comes as a pinch and always leaves everyone happy.

Best Point ? Wood fired oven pizzas!
Worst Point ? Do not do Calzones!
