Great People and service, shame about the foodWe visited on a Wednesday evening, and were sat at 7pm for drinks so the kids could play, and ordered at 8:15pm.We were the first to arrive, and were convinced that others would arrive later, only three other people arrived, the place was empty. This place must be able to seat 80 - 100...The people were very friendly and happy to help, but the food was shocking.Ok, I ordered a steak with a pepper sauce, but I am not sure that bisto with pepper and red wine vinegar counts as a pepper sauce, the steak was nice enough, kids meals were good (burgers) but the rest was pretty terrible to be honest. Not sure if they have lost their chef, or their Chef was on Holiday, my advice, if you are going these, go later in the evening, and if its empty go into Kathkas and try to get a table at Yiannis instead.

Very good sunday mezeRelatives over from UK so decided to have a Sunday meze lunch at Kathikas.Sadly they arrived late (lost in the Akamas area!) and by then the tavernas within the village had closed. Noticed on the way in that the Kyparissos looked busy and thankfully they made us welcome when we arrived late on in the afternoon. Offered a good size table for six (five adults, one child)The (comprehensive) meze arrived promptly and at regular, sensible intervals by the attentive and friendly staff.(included ,salad, bread, dips, halloumi, pickled celery, beetroot, rocket. Green and black olives, liver, roast potatos, cous cous, cheese ravioli, large mushrooms, egg and spinich, grilled chicken drumsticks, grilled pork, fresh veg, feta and tomato, apples and oranges ) Bill for 6 including drinks and kateyfi cake came to E120, very good value.PS Toilets spotless with automatic lights !

an irregular favouriteWe tend to visit this place a few times a year as we feel comfortable we will get what we need which i think speak for itself. IN September we had an old colleague visit at same time as family so meze for 7 was a logical choice. Even when including a few lunchtime drinks (3 drivers so not a lot of drink) the price came in at €20 a head. Its too far back to remember details on the dishes suffice to say everyone ate well but we left amounts of the latter dishes so portions are good ! One thing that pee'd me off is the bad attitude of the teenage staff (might be family members) doing some of the table service.

Worth the drive! We have a home in Cyprus so come over 3 or 4 times a year for a few weeks at a time with our two kids and sometimes extended family. We eat out every day (sometimes twice) so have got to know some of the best and worst over the past few years.
