The Best of The Best!!!!

My first night off from Rumbletums and i have not been here for 2 years, my wife never. She loved it as much as i and i was once again, totally amazed at the service and quality of the food. Keep up the fantastic work, best Cypriot restaurant i have ever been to and will sing the praises forever. I'm a fan for life!

Great Cypriot cuisine

I have been here a couple of times in the past months, it is a great place to bring visitors who want to taste local cuisine and get a bit of the Cypriot experience. The family members all working together, the cats running around, the dish towels hanging to dry, it all makes for a unique feeling that you're eating in somebody's grandmother's kitchen /which you actually are, from what I understand it is their grandma cooking/.
The food is a great array of Cypriot dishes and it keeps coming until you tell them you can't eat anymore. It's wonderful and a great way of spending a few hours with your friends or relatives. My only complaint is that they seem to charge children the same flat fee as the adults so if your child is as picky as my daughter who probably ate about one cucumber and a piece of pita, you're better off leaving your offspring home.

Best Point ? taste of local cuisine
Worst Point ? children charged at adults' price

Undoubtedly the best "Cypriot Experience" in Papho

We brought some friends here in late October, it was their first night (ever) in Cyprus, they are still raving about Seven St. Georges now.

George and Ben (his son) could not have done more for us, even though the restaurant was packed, both George and Ben treated us so well that we felt like we were the only customers in the building. They both regularly brought us extra little titbits and tasters.

Seven St. Georges is really not like most other restaurants, there is a genuine passion for the food along with a real interest in you the person.

George and Ben and their passion for traditional Cypriot food, can be seen on the Travel and Living channel on My Cypriot Kitchen. This is a testament to the wonderful reputation that George and his family have built up in this gem of a restaurant.

Whatever you do, the next time you are in Paphos you must visit Seven St. Georges.

Best Point ? Genuine Cypriot Hospitality
Worst Point ? None, really none

Loved it

Probably the best known meze place in the area and it has a lot of good things going for it - not least the nice setting and the warm welcome.

They serve their meze in a style that appeals appealed to we two greedies, declaring that they will keep bringing food until we tell them t stop. “Right matey”, I thought, “Bring it on. You don`t know how much my Companion in Life and I can pack away”. Now it might have been a co-incidence but by the time we were asked if we`d had enough, we actually had enough.

And it had all been interesting and, for the most part, a very successful series of dishes. None of the bog standard dips that you get in the places in the central tourist - but yoghurt with coriander and a cauliflower puree made for a good start. There was also a courgette flower, stuffed with rice and pork mince - good skill in the kitchen with this. Courgette found its ways into a couple of the other dishes - one with tomato, the other with egg. Must also mention that the bread was excellent.

Of the meats, there was very good roast pork, stifado, lamb tava and chicken with mushrooms. These were served one at a time but with an accompanying veggie dish - black-eyed beans with the pork, lentils with the lamb, for example. It seemed to make for a more complete meal.

We had left room for dessert - a rice pudding heavy with cinnamon and a very sharp lemon sponge with cream.

The meze cost €17 which includes wine. Desserts are extra. It`s hard to think of a much nicer way to spend a couple of hours.

Best Point ? The food
Worst Point ? Not even the cats

Pleased to return

Returned after a two years absence with our son & his wife for their first visit. Usual friendly greeting from the owner & his son, staff attentive throughout (about 3/4 full on a pleasant Thursday evening)

Meze was enjoyed by all & of a good standard, it comprised ;-
salad, warm bread & olives, carrot, beetroot, celery, cauliflower, yoghurt & coriander dips. Pork & cheese, lentils, pork, beef & rice, corgette & egg, stuffed marrow flowers, roasted peppers, green beans, chicken & mushroom, lamb & pickles, kleftico & roast potatoes. Just about able to share the lovely apple crumble, banana caramel & rice puddings !
All washed down with free still water. Otherwise the (chilled) red wine was a little disapointing for the price, but we did enjoy their home made orange & lemon liquers.

PS Toilets clean & tidy with good wheelchair access.

Best Point ? meze
Worst Point ? drinks a little expensive
